The importance of emissions and energy consumption due to heating of water for human consumption (DHW) and the production of water in areas without water resources are checked. Hotels in the Canary Islands (Spain) as an example for the changes that must give even the reduction of emissions and consumption by implementing production systems of autonomous water and not centralized and implement systems renewable energies in the DHW to decrease between 20% shall be used and 30% of the energy requirements of buildings for to try to get nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB).
