Importance of Gas Chromatography in Analytical Chemistry

In many academic and industrial research facilities, gas chromatography (GC or GLC) is a frequently used analytical technique for quality control, as well as for the identification and quantitation of mixture components. Due to its ability to detect very small quantities, GC is a method that is frequently used in forensic and environmental laboratories. Up until the compounds are sufficiently thermally stable and manageably volatile, a wide range of experiments can be examined.
