SOS3, HKT1, NHX1,MAPKKK, CDPK etc. are responsible for overexpression in transgenic plants exhibited enhanced in abiotic stress. Each genes are activated by some special cis- acting regulatory elements in osmotic- and cold-stress responsive promoters.
