Simultaneous RP-HPLC determination of camylofin dihydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparations

A simple, fast and precise reversed phase high performance liquid chromatographic method is developed for the simultaneous determination of camylofin Dihydrochloride using methyl paraben as an internal standard. Chromatographic separation of these two drugs was performed on a waters symmetry C18 column (250mm  4.6 mm, 5m) as stationary phase with a mobile phase comprising of 0.05%trifluoro acetic acid in water and 0.05% trifluoro acetic acid in acetonitrile (40:60 v/v), at a flowrate of 0.7mLmin-1 and UV detection at 220 nm. The Retention time of Camylofin Dihydrochloride and Methyl paraben were 3.10 min and 4.77 min respectively. The proposed method was validated for linearity, accuracy, precision, LOD, LOQ. Linearity, accuracy and precisionwere found to be acceptable over the ranges of 250-750-g mL-1 for camylofin Dihydrochloride. It can be conveniently adopted for routine quality control analysis.
