Synthesis and anticancer activity of substituted pyrazole derivatives

Malonitrile was coupled with substituted aromatic amines to afford compounds (1-3). Compounds (4-5) were prepared through the reaction of compounds (1-3) with phenyl hydrazine but the reaction of substituted phenyl hydrazono-malononitrile compounds (1-3) with hydrazine hydrate afforded diamino compounds (7-9). The diaminocompounds (7-9) were condensed with different substituted aromatic aldehydes to give compounds (10-18). The structure of newly synthesized compounds was confirmed by IR, 1H NMR,MS spectral data and elemental analysis.All the compounds (4-6) and (10-18) were screened for their anticancer activities against breast carcinoma (T47D)and human hepatocarcinoma cell lines (Huh-7) compared with Doxorubicin positive control. The detailed synthesis, spectroscopic data and anticancer activities of the synthesized compounds were reported.
